Frontier Eyes Spirit Routes in Massive 20 Route Addition

Frontier Airlines made huge waves across the industry on Tuesday, announcing that it is launching 20 new routes to directly compete with other low-cost carriers, which include Spirit Airlines.
In a news release on Tuesday, August 26th, Frontier Airlines stated that it's committed to being the "number one low-fare carrier in the top 20 U.S. metros." Noteably, some of the new routes, which are slated to begin this winter, are out of established Spirit Airlines hubs. The new routes will begin from Detroit, Houston, Baltimore, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, and Charlotte. The routes will begin staggered and are slated to begin from November 2025 through February 2026.
