As part of a network redesign, Southwest Airlines announced on Thursday that they will be exiting several domestic routes from its schedule.
The carrier is making adjustments to its St. Louis operations, specifically, to "better support north/south connectivity" and improve connections at Chicago Midway and Nashville according to a Southwest Airlines spokesperson.
As part of this change, the airline is ending service between St. Louis and:
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Oklahoma City
Wichita, Kansas
Des Moines, Iowa
Little Rock, Arkansas
Flights from St. Louis to Tulsa, Wichita, and Des Moines are being redistributed to Chicago Midway, the St. Louis to Oklahoma City route is shifting to Dallas-Love Field, and St. Louis to Little Rock will now be served from Nashville, Tennessee.
Other routes included in the shakeup include:
Eugene, Oregon to Oakland, California
St. Louis, Missouri to Burbank, California
Houston-Hobby, Texas to Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina
Jackson, Mississippi to Baltimore/Washington, Maryland
Atlanta, Georgia to New York-LaGuardia, New York
Atlanta, Georgia to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina
Specific end dates for affected routes have not been announced yet.
